Nate Barnes
JT Focus Mgt Cleveland Am Pro'ers recent acquisition Nate Barnes (5'10''-G-90), a former Junior College All American at Lakeland Community Colllege (Mentor, Oh), and Division II superstar at Alderson and Broaddus, drops 47 pts in his ABA debut vs the Lima Explosion. Lima defeated Cleveland 134 to 110.

The Lima Explosion won the tip ball, and from that point on they never looked back. The Lima Explosion used there superior height to there advantage. Kyle Meyer (6'6''-F-88, college: Ohio Northern) (36 pts) and Kyle Gillette (6'8''-F-86, college: NW Ohio) (38 pts), pounded the smaller Cleveland team in the paint during the first half. Willie Tisdale (5'9''-G-85, college: Cameron) (22 pts) controlled the tempo of the game by penetrating and making Cleveland collapse and finding the right people at the right time. One of those players he found in the first half was Geoff Reeder who made 5 three point field goals in the first half to stretch the Cleveland defense out, which allowed Lima's interior players to excel.

The 2nd half Cleveland Am Pro'ers came out and made a run. Cleveland leader Eric McPherson (6'3''-G-86, college: Lindsey Wilson) came out aggressive making shots, playing great defense, and rebounding the basketball. Mcpherson tallied 15 pts 10 rebs 7 ast. Caleb Chen (5'10''-G-90) a former Miami of Ohio Club team member, caught fire as well scoring a season high 25 pts and grabbing 4 rebs. Vincent Maxwell (6'5''-F-86) a former Junior College player at Spoonriver CC added 15 pts 12 rebs. Vince without a doubt played better as the game went on.

For Cleveland Nate Barnes (5'10''-G-90) front he 2nd quarter on, made shot after shot after shot. Nate was great in transition hitting pull up jump shots. In the half court set Mr. Barnes was spectacular in the screen and roll or 1 on 1 situation to the tune of 47 pts 4 rebs 6 asts. Nate, Eric, and Caleb are proving to be a formidable backcourt, and Clevland needs to find some complimentary players to go around these guys to be successful. This was Cleveland 4 straight loss in a row. Cleveland Head Coach Melanie Collins, was very frustrated with her teams performance on Sunday and she vows changes will be made soon to improve the Cleveland Am Pro'ers team.

Cleveland will face the Lima Explosion again next Sunday in Lima, Ohio. Lima GM Lewis Shine continues to do a great job running a first class organization. Lima had a great crowd this past weekend, and Lima is one of the most positive entities in the 2012-13 ABA League.
