The American Basketball Association (ABA) released its Power Rankings through Sunday, December 23rd and the top three teams continued to top the 32 team rankings - the Arizona Scorpions, Jacksonville Giants and South Carolina Warriors. "All three are very strong teams and now we are beginning to see some new teams emerge getting set to challenge," stated Joe Newman , ABA CEO. "The next couple of months should be very exciting. To qualify, teams must have played at least four games with the exception of those teams that started very late."

The American Basketball Association (ABA) announced that the Colorado Cougars have returned after a two-year hiatus and will begin play in November. "We are very happy to have Brandon Williams and Patrick Kelly back," stated ABA co-founder Joe Newman .
