NY Internationalz, a different story - Feb 28, 2009 (by Gianni Pascucci) After reading the piece about his team posted yesterday on Usbasket.com, the NYC Internationalz team owner Anwar Sharhan asked to me to post the statements down: 'The New York City Internationalz has never changed ownership. The Coach- Michael Logan was working to sabotage our organization- the NYC Internationalz b/c he did not want me to tell about the ABA scam . Here's the story: On Wednesday evening February 19, Michael Logan and I had a conversation which, he advised me that I dont know how the playoffs are working, my reply to him was, What? Of course I do I was putting together a bid for the all-star game and playoffs before Nashville got it, Joe (CEO) and Quintin (Former COO that was arrested) advised me, I would have to pay for all the hotel accommodations and airfare for every team participating in the playoffs, he then replied to me, No! thats not how its gonna work! Needless to say, I was baffled I asked him How do you now how its going to work? Who have you been talking to? The conversation stood silent as I asked the question again, he would not respond but then laughed after I asked him a third time. After I heard the laugh, I asked, Who have you been talking to Marsha (Jersey Express Team Owner), Joe? He replied, The league! Have a goodnight Anwar, goodnight. And this would end the conversation. The league (Joe Newman), Marsha and Michael all agreed to try and lock us out. Michael Logan called Harvey Li (Co-owner of the NYC Internationalz) the next morning- Thursday February 20th 2009 and said I quit! Ive had enough! Im not changing my mind this time, Im serious, thats it! And directly after that, Michael Logan got the league to approve him for a team in the middle of the season. On that same day, February 20th, I confirmed this Saturdays game with Marsha for February 28th at 7pm, where as she replied that we could get there at 6pm to warm-up. On February 25th, I would get a text from Marsha stating, I will be playing the NYC Thunder on Saturday run by Mike Logan. In other words, she was no longer playing us- the NYC Internationalz. Marsha, Joe and Michael, where trying to lock us out hence Michael reported a fraudulent story to you to keep the lie going we never left the team, the players definitely did go another way, but it was due to reasons under the players control. Michael Logan , Quintin Gittens and Marvin McCullough are all friends; these two players and coach recruited all of the players- which are their friends; Please be advised that, Michael Logan still has over $7,000 worth of uniforms and equipment in his possession (this is the real story, behind the curtains.)' Comment from Usbasket.com: We received this text directly from Mr. Sharhan, and we had received the previous news from Tim Gittens, one of the NYC team players. At this point, we can not say if the team will go now on the court as 'Internationalz' of 'Tunder'. And, of course, Mr. Sharham and Mr. Gittens are fully responsible of what they declared to us.

The Lake Michigan Admirals are causing waves in the ABA Power Rankings over the last two weekends by beating the Pittsburgh Phantoms last weekend and by taking down the #2 Chicago Steam Saturday night, 119-109, in front of a crowd of approximately 600 at Lake Michigan Catholic. This all is the product of some major moves, like players buying into Coach Buck Riley's coaching philosophy and the addition of a quality point guard in Brandon Ball (5'11''-G-86, college: Michigan Tech), and a towering center in Jermaine Middleton (7'3''-C, college: Northwood Fl.). The last team addition is James Booyer (6'8''-F-86, college: IUPUI). GM Chris Glisson might just take home the General Manager of the year award...... In yesterday night win, Odgra Bobo (6'6''-F-85, college: Oakland CC) led the Admirals with 23 points and 27 rebounds (!!), Anthony Slater (5'9''-G-79, college: Florida Atlantic) had a triple double with 12 points, 11 steals, and 12 assists. Brandon Ball, newly acquired from the PBL's Vermont Frost Heaves on Thursday, had 21 points and 8 assists and more importantly kept Royce Perrin (5'9''-G-85), from the Steam, to only 8 points. Former Houston Rocket Sam Mack (6'7''-G/F-70, college: Houston) only had 13 points for Chicago as well.
