Change of name for the Internationalz - Feb 27, 2009 (by Gianni Pascucci)
In a change of scenario very typical for the ABA league, the team based in New York City, till now named New York Internationalz, announced that, because of reasons not under the player control, underwent a ownershing change. The original owner left the team, and the players decided to go another way. The ABA league took the change with open arms, keeping the team in the league, so the same team (with the same roster) will play the New Jersey Express tomorrow night as the New York Thunder.

On Saturday night, the West Texas Whirlwinds defeated the New Mexico RimRockers 127-81 in a benefit game named 'Hoopin' for Haiti'. The Southeast Texas Mavericks are not only the best team in the ABA, but also one of the top teams in the Minor League World, as they were recently ranked #3 overall by MLN Sport Zone.
