Notre Dame women plaster Florida State, secure sixth straight conference title - NCAA1 - 10 hours ago
It was the most impressive effort, and it came at just the right time. The Notre Dame women's basketball team, efficient on offense and defense, smacked No. 8 Florida State Sunday, 79-61, in front of a capacity crowd at Purcell Pavilion. In so doing, the Irish capped their fourth consecutive regular-season championship in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The streak of titles is now actually six in a row. The Irish also won the title the last two seasons they were in the Big East Conference....

Katie Samuelson (6'3''-G/F-97) doesn't worry about slumps. The UConn sophomore knows she will eventually shoot her way of them. Samuelson did just that on Saturday, scoring 29 points to lead the top-ranked Huskies to a 91-48 win over Memphis. The victory extended the program's record winning streak to 103 games. The Atlanta Dream signed forward Rachel Jarry(6'1''-SF-91) to a training camp contract. A member of the Australian national team, Jarry was originally drafted by the Dream in the second round of the 2011 WNBA Draft. She was traded to the Minnesota Lynx in a draft day deal.
