Orlando Splash took a 7-0 record on top of the Southeast Division. Together with Middle GP they advanced to the semifinals from the group. Top 2 teams from the Northeast and the top 2 teams from the Southeast made the WABA Championship semis. Jersey E. and Mt. Vernon S. advanced from the Northeast Division. The playoffs begin October 6-8.

The California State Maritime Academy has named Dennis Cox as its new Head Women's Basketball Coach. Cox was the Division II National Coach of the Year in 2011 when his team won the National Championship. Cox spent the last three seasons in the same position at San Francisco State.
